Things are very busy here at Stars and Sabers Publishing as we prepare for the February launch of our cross-genre anthology, Of Shadows, Stars, and Sabers. General preorders are live and will continue to populate across platforms over the weeks ahead! Here are some early ones I have found:

Why Preorder?
Preorders are absolutely pivotal these days, because they signal to the distributor how many books they need to make. The longer the lead time, the better. More preorders also signal to booksellers that this is a worthy title to have in their shops. Your preorders are appreciated!

What's Next
- I am shipping authors their complimentary contributor copies of the anthology that they helped to build.
- I'm ordering books for the crowdfunding supporters and will begin shipping those later this month. There is a delay with the hardcovers via the distributor, and we hope that is resolved soon so we can finish ordering those. Paperbacks are apparently made at a different site, and so far there is no delay with them.
- Note that we will be distributing worldwide via Ingram and so direct sales won't be our emphasis. As mentioned above, you'll be able to preorder the book from reputable bookseller sites around the world.
- Interviews and press for this anthology will likely start rolling forth. We're very excited about this! It helps get the word out.
I think these stories will absolutely enthrall you as much as they did us.
The Next Anthology!
Cover art for the next anthology, the magic-themed Of Enchantment, Enigma, and the Infinite, is almost finished. It is gorgeous! Niall C. Grant is back with another stunning cover. And this looks marvelous next to the first anthology as this series unfolds. I'm also pleased to report that we have some returning authors as well as some new ones. This second anthology publishes in June. The cover reveal for this anthology will coincide with a new crowdfunding just for it! Stay tuned for that.
In October, we have a horror-themed anthology just in time for Halloween: Of Dread, Decay, and Doom.
And we are cooking up some more anthologies down the line! We'll have a whole set you'll want to collect.

Our First Solo Author Event!
As we put the finishing touches on Pedro Iniguez's wonderful sci-fi and fantasy collection, Echoes and Embers: Speculative Stories, we are looking ahead to celebrating his publication day on July 15! Soon after that, Pedro has a book event in Monrovia, California at Black Cat Fables. Do stop by and support Pedro!
